Market Development

Overview
The Research and Market Development Department is mandated to lead market development initiatives and strengthen the organization's research and information capabilities. The department has the responsibility to carry out research on and analyze the domestic, regional and international securities markets and asses their impact on the domestic economy and securities market as well as advising the Authority on matters relating to economic policy, the financial sector and globalization. This is through the writing of policy proposals for the development of the capital markets and the production of high quality topical publications on the industry for local and international distribution.

The department is also oversees the development and conduct of public awareness and mass education programs and is charged with developing and implementing of training programs for market professionals. This goes hand in hand with developing of project proposals for funding research and market development activities.
